January – Windsor Spitfires vs. Owen Sound Attack Hockey Game
SEIU Healthcare members cheered on the Windsor Spitfires as they faced off against the Owen Sound Attack. Attendees enjoyed an exciting evening of hockey, completed with game-time snacks. Families with young children had a special opportunity to participate in the “High Five Alley,” where kids lined up to high-five players as they took to the ice.
Every year, SEIU Healthcare commemorates the day of mourning by recognizing the sacrifices of the members we lost on the frontlines—our Healthcare Hero statue in front of the SEIU Head office in Richmond Hill stands in the loving memory of all the fallen healthcare heroes.

July 6 – Calypso Waterpark Day
Region 8 members soaked up the sun at Calypso Theme Waterpark, enjoying a day of fun and connection. Families and friends joined in the excitement, taking part in the park’s outdoor water activities and sharing delicious potluck dishes and snacks.
July – Wonderland Day
Who doesn’t love a roller coaster (or amusement park food)?
We had a great time at Canada’s Wonderland. It was a fun day filled with love, laughter, an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch, and fun times at the water park, and with rides for all ages!
July 16 – Purple Day
We love celebrating our Purple Pride and the work we do together to build worker power across Ontario! Check out and see if you can find your workplace celebration.
August – East Park London Family Day
Hundreds of SEIU Healthcare members came together at East Park London for a day packed with adventure. From thrilling water slides and go-karting to mini golf and rock climbing, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The day was capped off with a delicious BBQ lunch picnic.
It’s back! This year was the return of our 14th Annual SEIU Healthcare Charity Golf Tournament.

December – Leamington Skate Party
SEIU Healthcare members came together for a fun and festive skating event to celebrate the holiday season. Attendees enjoyed gliding on the ice, sharing laughter, and warming up with delicious hot chocolate. Whether experienced skaters or beginners, everyone had a joyful time embracing the holiday spirit!
