SEIU Strong: Educate, Protect, Organize
In 2024, we prioritized training to empower members with the skills to lead, organize, and advocate. Through steward training, member organizing workshops, and the Rep-in-Training program, we built stronger leaders to drive change in their workplaces and communities.
We reaffirmed our commitment to building strong leaders by hosting multiple Level 1 and 2 Steward Training sessions across every region.
These sessions ensured that all new stewards received the training and support needed to succeed.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated new stewards for stepping up to take on this important responsibility and our seasoned stewards for their many years of commitment and leadership. Together, you strengthen our union and make a lasting impact.

At Downsview LTC, we also trained incredible, passionate healthcare workers through our Teamwork and Trauma & Violence Informed Workspaces Course, which was co-developed by our Training Centre and Downsview Long-Term Care.
