Spitfires vs. Attack Hockey Game
Members cheered on the Windsor Spitfires as they faced off against the Owen Sound Attack. Attendees enjoyed an exciting evening of hockey, completed with game-time snacks. Families with young children had a special opportunity to participate in the “High Five Alley,” where kids lined up to high-five players as they took to the ice.

Calypso Waterpark Day
Region 8 members soaked up the sun at Calypso Theme Waterpark, enjoying a day of fun and connection. Families and friends joined in the excitement, taking part in the park’s outdoor water activities and sharing delicious potluck dishes and snacks.

Wonderland Day

Every year on July 16, we celebrate our purple pride and the work we do together to build worker power across Ontario! AUGUST
Congratulations to Yahnique Bent, Hannah Melmoth, Sean Oh, and Vanessa Vasudevan, our winners this year, chosen by more than 1900 members who voted. Their videos showcased the dedication of healthcare workers, the power of unions, and the importance of advocacy in shaping a better future for healthcare.

SEIU Family Day at East Park London
AUGUST
Hundreds of members from Region 7 took advantage of our exclusive discount to come together at East Park London for a day packed with adventure. From thrilling water slides and go-karting, to mini golf and rock climbing, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The day was capped off with a delicious BBQ picnic!
SEPTEMBER
We raised more than $50,000 for Future Aces and the Good Vibes Foundation, two Ontario-based charities that support our youth. Thank you to all who sponsored the event and supported our effort to raise money for these integral organizations.

Leamington Skate Party
Members came together for a fun and festive skating event to celebrate the holiday season. Attendees enjoyed gliding on the ice, sharing laughter, and warming up with delicious hot chocolate. Whether experienced skaters or beginners, everyone had a joyful time embracing the holiday spirit!
