SEIU E-Learning Isn’t Complicated – it’s Easy in our App!

This year, we added e-learning to our mobile app, making our popular courses even easier to take.

We’re excited to share that courses from our Social Justice Toolkit and Steward Training Program were the top two courses on e-Learning this year!

Thousands of SEIU Leaders logged in to enhance their leadership skills and equip themselves with essential tools to create safer, more inclusive workplaces for all healthcare workers.

Stay tuned for more opportunities to access these valuable courses! And don’t forget, we offer several courses that benefit you and your whole family too.

“I love that I can access e-learning whenever it fits my schedule. The courses are easy to follow, and I’ve gained so much knowledge that helps me at work and in my union.”

Our Own Training Centre

Ontario’s healthcare system is in crisis, with over 34,000 Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and Nurses needed by 2032.

Our Training Centre was created to solve the ongoing recruitment, development and staffing needs in healthcare, while making it the long-term sustainable career you deserve.

Our Training Centre will make healthcare the long-term sustainable career we deserve by:

  • Providing skills upgrades and creating pathways for new entrants to the healthcare sector in Canada.

  • Combatting major staffing issues for workplaces.

  • Providing extensive support services, access to key resources and critical benefits, and a retirement savings plan to solve industry-wide retention issues.

In 2024, we held several trainings in collaboration with an employer. As shown through this first-of-its-kind labour-management partnership, when unions and employers can effectively collaborate, we can find new, innovative solutions that improve working conditions for our members and care outcomes for our seniors.
